Smart Spectacles -:

The University of Utah has come up with a pair of smart glasses that may eliminate the need for bifocals in the future. These smart glasses make use of liquid lenses that automatically adjust their focus. This means that you don’t have to keep taking your glasses on and off or switching them for reading glasses etc. Carlos Mastrangelo – the professor who led the research on the glasses alongside doctoral student Nazmul Hasan – said that any person who puts these glasses on will see objects in front of them clearly, no matter the distance. As people get older, their vision tends to weaken or get poorer. This is due to the eye lens’ being unable to change shape as required. This is the reason most people tend to need reading glasses or bifocals as they get older. Prescription glasses today simply change the range your eyes can focus on; you can see closer, but you need to take your glasses off to see farther away. With these smart spectacles your eyes will actually be able to adjust to different distances. Of course, no smart object is complete without an app. The smart glasses come with an app, which lets you calibrate the lenses and update your prescription as needed.
